Google currently serves up to 4.6 billion users across 160 countries — who are searching for everything and anything in 123 languages. Google has a team of illustrators and engineers, the “Doodlers”, who have created over 2000 doodles for the homepage around the world.
The concept of having a Doodle was created before Google was incorporated.
According to the Google Doodle page, “In 1998, Larry and Segal (Google Founders), were playing with the logo to indicate their attendance in one festival in Nevada Desert. They placed a stick figure drawing behind the 2nd “o” in the word, Google, and the revised logo was intended as a comical message to Google users that the founders were “out of office.”. While the first doodle was relatively simple, the idea of decorating the company logo to celebrate notable events was born.”
Google has a history of being mind blowingly creative and engaging. Over the years everyone has come across some really amazing Doodles time-to-time. If it wasn’t for these Doodles we sure would have missed out on some of the amazing inventions and legends in history. Just like a teacher Google has taught us a lot. It has invested in our emotions. Known us and given answers to the questions that troubled us.
The team of Crazy Hippos wishes our beloved Google, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY and Good job at this year’s Doodle!
